When I met Jennie and Craig I just knew their wedding day would be a day full of gorgeousness. Not even the rain could dampen their day… it was a beautiful day and full of surprises.
Jennie got ready at the Hilton Hotel in Sheffield with her bridesmaids and her mum. The girls were great fun and just lovely and relaxed. I fell in love with Jennie’s Jimmy Choo’s… they were amazing! I headed off to The Old Rectory in Handsworth where Jennie and Craig got married. Full of giggles, more laughter and happiness I worked along side Tip-Top films who filmed their wedding day beautifully and I highly recommend. After Jennie and Craig said their vows to each other they were surprisingly greeted by Darth Vader himself and his storm troopers from Star Wars… Everybody loved it!
Jennie and Craig thought of everything, there was an ice cream van, photo booth, sweetie cart, wood fired pizza’s being cooked an amazing band and some serious cool moves on the dance floor… But most of all their day was full of love, laughter and happiness.
Jennie and Craig you’re pretty awesome as well as your family and friends!

A beautiful day…
I first met Tash at the I do wedding exhibition in Doncaster. I always knew it was going to be special, we instantly connected and she felt like a friend.
Nash and Tash had their beautiful wedding at Wortley Hall, I say ‘beautiful’ because it really was, from the place to the people, everything was just ‘beautiful’. The weather was gorgeous and the sun was shining. After having some group photos and capturing some stunning images of Tash and Nash, it was almost time for the speeches. But first of all there was a surprise for everyone… The music started and three incredible belly dancers performed, surprising everyone! The atmosphere was awesome whilst everyone was clapping and enjoying the performance.
I was so happy to capture your day as it unfolded Tash and Nash, you really are such a beautiful couple and I feel privileged to have been your photographer.
Clint and Rebecca had their amazing wedding at the Whitworth Centre in Derbyshire, also the first ever indoor swimming pool in England once upon a time!. Surrounded by lush greens and a train station in walking distance it was just perfect.
I started the day photographing Rebecca with her bridesmaids and her Mum getting ready at a gorgeous house in the grounds of the Whitworth Centre. Everything was calm and relaxed with a lovely atmosphere. I was rather excited when Clint and Rebecca told me that there would be a steam train running on their wedding day… it made the most stunning backdrop for their wedding photographs and the weather was beautiful. After the speeches and afternoon tea we headed off for some photos in the beautiful soft light… my favourite time of the day. Letting you both have some time on your own and capturing some gorgeous moments of you both in the soft light was just magical.
The attention to detail, colours and style was perfect. Clint and Rebecca you are a beautiful…. inside and out and I can’t tell you how much I loved capturing your day.
Love Lara x
Jared and Libby… Relaxed, chilled and just the most beautiful people inside and out!
They got married at one of my favourite venues, Cubley hall in Penistone at 4pm. The breathtaking scenery all around this venue really does take your breath away. The fields, stone walls and countryside is such a gorgeous backdrop for your photos.
After photographing Libby getting ready which was unsurprising relaxed and chilled we walked down to the barn where Libby and Jared said their vows to each other. The beautifully decorated barn with fairy lights had a magical atmosphere. I still can’t help but smile thinking about their wedding day. Jared and Libby put complete trust in me, heading off into the fields where the light was soft for some natural photographs (I do love going into the countryside)
You are just the most beautiful human beings, Jared and Libby and I absolutely loved capturing your day. There is no other way to describe your day other than ‘magical’
I am so excited to be photographing another wedding at Cubley hall again next year…
Mike and Ange’s Farm wedding is pretty hard to sum up in words, because it was just amazing!! Awesome, epic, incredible, and so much fun from start to finish! They were chilled, relaxed, and just a dream to photograph!
I photographed Ange and her bridesmaids getting ready at home, not forgetting her gorgeous horses too (huge horsey fan here!) before heading over to Upper Whiston Church. After they said their vows to each other we all headed off onto the cool trailer back to the farm. Once we got back to the farm, we (I say ‘we’ because the bestman was an amazing help) gathered everyone onto the hay bales for an awesome group photo!! Ange and Mike didn’t hold back, climbing straight to the top! After food, speeches and some epic dancing to Mumford & Sons we headed off into the fields and hay bales for some natural photos of Ange and Mike.
Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your stunning, rustic farm wedding!!! You are seriously cool, relaxed and have some pretty awesome friends and family too!!!
A dreamy wedding at Wentworth Woodhouse… A true fairytale
When Zofia asked me to be her wedding photographer, I felt completely honoured and touched. We have been friends for years and Zofia and Hugh chose me to capture their big day, right at the beginning of my journey.
Zofia and Hugh got married at the breathtaking Wentworth Woodhouse in Wentworth, South Yorkshire. The venue was incredible and the weather was glorious with blue skies.
I absolutely love photographing all of the natural moments as well as the dreamy details too… I photographed Zofia getting ready at Wentworth Woodhouse where the atmosphere was lovely and calm. Zofia’s makeup was applied by Kirsty Groves who kept her makeup beautifully natural. Her hair was put up beautifully by the very talented Harriet Harvey. Zofia’s stunning dress was from The Little Pearl Boutique in North Yorkshire and was just literally jaw droppingly gorgeous! Her very pretty and delicate bouquet smelt divine!! It was the perfect choice of pastel colours and arranged to perfection by the lovely Catherine from Sweetpea and Thyme who I can’t recommend highly enough!! Zofia looked so elegant and just beautiful before walking down the ailse.
Photographing Hugh and Zofia say their vows to each other was so touching and is always one of my most favourite parts of the day!
The room looked incredible, filled with flowers by the lovely and insanely talented Catherine from Sweetpea and Thyme. The beautifully hand painted stationary and table plan was made by Amy Bailey Design who again I can’t recommend highly enough. The attention to detail was second to none, not forgetting the welcome board hand painted by Lucy Bullen.
Dine did an amazing job with all of the catering and event management for the whole day, they were a pleasure to work with. After the meal and speeches we headed off into the gardens for some awesome portraits of Zofia and Hugh. I always like to go out twice, a few before or after the meal and then some when the light has dropped to create those romantic, dreamy photos. We headed off to catch the sunset before cutting the scrumptious cake by The Classic and Contempoary Cake Co.
Zofia and Hugh, thank you for letting me capture your day. It was a true fairytale and you both looked stunning.
And they lived happily ever after…
Angela and Mike get married in June and I just can’t wait! They’re having a farm wedding in Upper Whiston Rotherham, so that’s where we did their pre-wedding session! It was so much fun and even Smudge and Dotty (their two adorable dogs joined in too). I love taking photos in the countryside so this was perfect!
Angela and Mike thank you, I can’t wait for the big day now.
Being a wedding photographer, I’m always challenging myself to be better, striving for those stunning images that bring you back to the moment… after all, that’s what a photo is all about isn’t it?
I love images that show emotion, happy times and more than anything tell a story! And that’s why I was so excited when I saw that Jon from S6 Photography was doing a workshop. We set off into the stunning Peak District in Sheffield, talk about being inspired!!! It was epic! Tom and Clare looked stunning. Her dress was so beautiful, from The White Closet by designer Charlie Brear. Clare’s hair and makeup was by the extremely talented Jenn Edwards Wedding Hair & Make-up Team. The rolling hills and breathtaking scenery in the Peak District, made the perfect backdrop for Tom and Clare’s photos. Here’s a selection of the images from the workshop.
Thank you Jon, an awesome day spent with pretty awesome people!
Emma and Pete’s wedding at Whirlowbrook Hall in Sheffield was so pretty!
It was my first wedding at Whirlowbrook Hall and I can see why Emma and Pete fell in love with it (because I have too). I spent the morning with Emma photographing her getting ready and those dreamy details, including her wedding dress, shoes and flowers. Everything was calm, organised and perfect. Emma looked stunning!
Photographing Emma and Pete whilst they said their vows to each other, was one of my favourite parts of the day. They both looked gorgeous and so in love. The speeches were amazing. The dancing was incredible and I didn’t want the first dance to end! I couldn’t resist going out for some night time photos in the rain. It really was magical… which sums up the whole day!
Thank you so much Emma and Pete, I wish you both all the very best.
