Wedding photography at Thirsk Lodge Barns.

Thirsk Lodge Barns Wedding photography- Phoebe and James.

There’s something truly magical about a summer wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns. Nestled in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside, it’s a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos, every corner is a photographers dream. It was one of those perfect days, filled with golden light, rustic charm, and heartfelt moments. As a wedding photographer, capturing their wedding day in such a stunning setting was an absolute joy.

The ceremony took place in the beautiful rustic barn, with wooden beams, soft fairy lights and wildflowers.

The main barn was beautifully styled with delicate florals and candles. The speeches were filled with laughter and touching moments, I made sure to capture the reactions, the teary eyed smiles and the bursts of laughter including those heartfelt embraces. After the speeches all the wedding party enjoyed the surprise appearance of  the undercover waiters. Needless to say, they were amazing and brought so much fun.

One of the best things about Thirsk Lodge Barns is its stunning countryside setting. Perfect for dreamy golden hour portraits. As the sun dipped lower we headed off for some beautiful photos on their own.

As the evening unfolded, Phoebe and James enjoyed a champagne tower and a champagne spray with their bridal party. They then hit the dance floor for their first dance in the barn and had a wonderful sparkler exit within the courtyard surrounded by all their wedding guests.

This wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns was a beautiful summer celebration, romantic, joyful and filled with love. As a wedding photographer, it was a dream to document.

If you’re planning your own wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns, I’d love to capture your story in timeless, natural photography. Please get in touch here, I’d love to hear all about your special day!

  • HODSOCK PRIORY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Hodsock Priory wedding photography in Yorkshire.

Georgia and Luke had their beautiful Spring wedding at Hodsock Priory. A stunning historic wedding venue in Yorkshire. The cherry blossom trees were in full in bloom which was the perfect backdrop for their wedding photographs.

I started the day photographing the grounds and bridal preparations. I love photographing the wedding dress, wedding shoes and all the details that you so carefully choose leading up to your big day. As soon as I have photographed these, I love to focus on all the spontaneous moments. Reactions of the bridesmaids and Georgia’s father were so special. Ember walked down the aisle with Luke (a gorgeous little cockapoo) who was absolutely adorable.

After the most wonderful wedding ceremony, confetti was thrown over Georgia and Luke as they walked out as Husband and Wife and took a moment within the grounds with all their wedding guests.

The blossom trees made the perfect backdrop for group photos and a few wedding portraits. I always like to go for a walk later, after speeches and food, so you feel more relaxed. Which we did, it was perfect. Georgia and Luke trusted me completely and were such a dream to photograph.

After their first dance, they had sparklers which were so much fun. And I couldn’t resist taking a few night time photographs.

Thank you so much, I am genuinely so grateful for your trust and kindness.

Hodsock Priory is such a beautiful wedding venue and the team are always so helpful. If you’d like to see more of my wedding photography. Please click here for more inspiration. If you’d like to get in touch and see if I have your wedding date available. I’d love to hear from you.

  • HAZEL GAP BARN WEDDING

A beautiful Spring wedding at Hazel Gap Barn.

Siobhan and Lee had their beautiful wedding at Hazel Gap Barn in spring time.

They had an amazing wedding day. After their wedding vows at St Marys Church in Rotherham. The Bride and Groom, followed by all their wedding guests, went to Hazel Gap Barn. After a drive in the wedding car and confetti, I took a few photos of Siobhan and Lee in the bluebells before sitting down for their wedding breakfast and speeches.

The speeches were amazing! The food is always incredible at Hazel Gap Barn. We went for a little walk just as the sun was coming down, it was perfect and the light was incredible. After cutting the wedding cake and their first dance it was time for sparklers. It was such a brilliant day.

  • HOOTON PAGNELL HALL WEDDING

A beautiful summer wedding at Hooton Pagnell Hall in Yorkshire.

Hayley and Jono had their beautiful wedding day at Hooton Pagnell Hall. It was a gorgeous summer day in August.

When I think of their beautiful wedding, I can’t help but smile.

I love to document a true story of the day. I started photographing the bridal preparations including Hayley’s gorgeous wedding dress and wedding shoes. As soon as Hayley was ready, her bridesmaids and granddad’s reaction was priceless as they saw her looking beautiful in her wedding dress. Before Hayley walked down the aisle, their little boy excitedly ran down the aisle. It was just perfect! Hayley and Jono said their vows to each other in the beautiful summer house, nestled within the gardens at Hooton Pagnell Hall. After confetti, canapés and some wedding photos it was time for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.

  • THE MERCHANT ADVENTURERS HALL WEDDING | YORK

Emma and Tom had their beautiful wedding at The Merchant Adventurers Hall in York City centre, it was such a breathtaking venue.

From the moment we met, they instantly felt like friends and I just knew that I wanted to capture their wedding day. Needless to say, I loved it. Emma got ready at a local air b&b which was fabulous. I loved photographing the bridal preparations, the dress, the flowers, the shoes, but most of all; the moments in between.

After capturing the reactions of Emma’s Dad and her bridesmaids I quickly walked to The Merchant Adventurers Hall in York to photograph the ceremony. I could see Tom at the end of the aisle waiting very patiently for Emma to arrive, I love to photograph these natural and very candid natural moments. I soon headed out to photograph Emma arriving with her wonderful Dad looking so proud.

Emma walked down the aisle in the breathtaking Great Hall, you could feel the love in the room and I’m always so grateful and honoured to photograph these momentous times. All of Emma and Tom’s wedding guests headed outside the wedding venue with handful’s of confetti, ready to throw over the new Mr and Mrs as they walked down the steps and into the courtyard. It couldn’t have been more perfect. As they walked through the historic streets in York, they were cheered and congratulated by so many people; which was so lovely.

Tom and Emma, you were an absolute dream to photograph, as were your family and friends. Thank you for having me!

  • JOANNA & CRAIG | MANOR HOUSE LINDLEY WEDDING

Joanna and Craig had their perfect wedding day at Manor House, Lindley.

I had been so excited to capture their day, ever since meeting them both at the I do exhibition in Ice Sheffield and it was just PERFECT!

The weather was gorgeous, Joanna looked breathtaking in her wedding dress from wed2b and velvet Jimmy Choo’s, not foregtting her incredible flowers! They were by the very lovely Natasha Jane Events and smelt as good as they looked!

Their wedding ceremony was full of twinkly candles, which created the most wonderful aisle for Joanna to walk down. After their beautiful ceremony, it was time for some drinks, canapés and wedding photos on the lawn outside.

The speeches were heartfelt, full of emotion and laughter. After the speeches we went for a walk for some photos of them both on their own. It was awesome to use some of the really fantastic spaces inside the wedding venue, for some creative portraits of them both.

It really was the perfect day! Joanna and Craig you are amazing. I am truly honoured to have been your wedding photographer.

    Thank you,

  • JOANNA & HAYDN | THE STAR INN | YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Joanna and Haydn had an amazing Winter Wedding at The Star Inn, Harome North Yorkshire on New Years Eve. It was AMAZING!

I was over the moon to be their wedding photographer. I had photographed their friends Farm Wedding, so it was great to see so many familar faces too. Joanna and Haydn organised their winter wedding to perfection! I captured Joanna getting ready with her bridal party. Joanna’s Enzoani dress from Holmes and Co Bridal Boutique was incredible! She looked absolutely amazing (they both did).

Joanna and Haydn said their vows to eachother in The Wheelhouse within The Lodge at The Star Inn, Harome. Twinkly lights and a warm and cosy atmosphere made it the perfect venue for their winter wedding.  After happy tears, confetti, photos hugs and kisses it was time for the wedding speeches. Their wedding reception was in fantastic tipi’s in an amazing open field at The Star Inn, North Yorkshire. Dressed with beautiful florals, feathers, green foliage and twinkly lights whilst family and friends sat round the fire pit, made this the perfect atmosphere to listen to the speeches.

Going for a walk with them both was so much fun! They both wore their wellies and embraced every moment! After their wedding breakfast and speeches it was time to hit the dancefloor which was never empty. Their twinkly lights and sparklers made the most magical night time photos before I headed home in Doncaster, Yorkshire.

I absolutely love being a wedding photographer in Yorkshire. Whilst I love capturing all of the wedding day. I love capturing all the natural moments, the ones that you didn’t know were taken and really tell the story of your day. Joanna and Haydn were such a dream to photograph and be around on their wedding day. Their wedding day was like something from a fairytale and I feel so grateful to have been their wedding photographer at The Star Inn, Harome.

I am so excited to share Gary and Emma’s wedding with you all. They both looked stunning… breathtaking!

They said their vows to each other in the sweetest summer house, hidden within the gardens at Hooton Pagnell Hall. With twinkly candles, beautiful florals, surrounded by their family and friends; it couldn’t of been more perfect!

After confetti, photos and canapés it was time for the speeches in The Tithe Barn! Wow, The Tithe Barn looked romantic and fresh, dressed with fresh foliage and white florals.

I love this time of year, the trees were full of colour and the weather was gorgeous. We were so lucky to get the most incredible sunset just before their first dance too!

The team at Hooton Pagnell gave the the most wonderful care and attention to detail. The service was amazing and I can’t wait to be back.
